Susan, Betsy and Bill

Susan and Bill have been friends with JoAnn Mangione forever — they all worked in tv together in Green Bay, WI, a million years ago — and I got to know them when Susan's career brought her to Cleveland to do the weather for a network affiliate.

After a long wait and an amazing amount of paperwork, they travelled to China in 2001 to adopt beautiful Betsy, who is a treasure and has totally transformed their lives. It's not easy becoming parents for the first time after — oh, say about 25 or so — but Susan and Bill are doing a remarkable job.
